Complete drop-in internal trigger assemblies - for DIY acoustic-converted, electronic drums

  • eBridge mounts directly to existing lug hardware - No Drilling - works with standard acoustic drums (wooden, metal and acrylic shells) with an Even amount of lugs
    • With an Odd lug count (ie, 5 lugs), proceed with a SideArm
    • Because not all drum shells & hardware are created equal; additional lug screw length is needed for mounting L-brackets or L-bracket orientation adjustment needed for shallow shells or non-ordinary lug location or L-bracket needs modification for drums with inner bearing edge shell reinforcement or lug screws larger than #8 or M4 will need to widen the L-bracket slot for larger screw diameter fitting.
  • All Metal Design! eBridge X-Bar is made of heavy-duty 14 gauge Aluminum - strongest, most durable after-market X-Bar assembly available
  • Adjustable (lateral-diameter) metal L-brackets for an exact fit
  • Rubber Isolation Mounts - interface between metal components significantly dampens cross-trigger vibrations between Head and Shell (for optional Rim Trigger)
  • 35mm Piezo's utilized universally on 6-18" snare/tom & 14-24" bass drum diameters configurations
  • Default lead wire length is a minimum of 12-15” from end of eBridge & includes finished quick-connects for 1/4" jack post connections - No soldering required
  • Single/Mono zone trigger is standard - Add a Rim Trigger Add-on for Dual/Stereo zone triggering - Piezo triggers are velocity sensitive - Dual/Stereo zone installation supports module-equipped Positional Sensing
  • Piezo/OctaCone riser assembly is center-mounted when built - can be moved off-center, in either direction as desired, to eliminate a center-drum hot-spot.  Bass drum eBridge Piezo/OctaCone riser assembly is mounted adjacent to center-mounted Beater Pillow when built
  • Complete with ultra-durable "Conical-Styled" Foam OctaCone
  • Works with acoustic or mesh heads (1, 2 & 3-ply).  2 & 3-ply mesh heads provide optimal trigger performance and best mesh head playability experience.  Single ply mesh heads are less optimal in all measures of the triggering/playability experience
  • The Piezo/OctaCone riser & the Bass Drum Beater Pillow riser are vertically adjustable to fine-tune contact/pressure with drum head underside
  • Bass Drum Beater Pillow – 5” round, height-adjustable, high quality memory foam pad - One Included on the 14", 16", 18", 20”, 22” & 24" bass drum configurations
  • Installation guide provided via email at time of shipment

    The verdict is in!

I decided to turn my Roland TD30 kit into a Hybrid kit. I found a nice drum and purchased all the 3-ply heads and rim condoms to completely transform that acoustic kit. I couldn't decide on the triggers to use, and ended getting a set of Roland RT30s.......figuring that they would trigger best with the TD30 module. After about a month of pretty good performance, I decided to try out these eBridge triggers for the snare and floor tom as they weren't triggering quite as good as I thought they could.......or was used to with the Roland pads. The difference is unbelievable! The Floor tom triggers perfectly and the snare does not miss anything! Ironically the RT30s ended up costing more than the eBridge triggers would have (had I gone that way). At this point I will be outfitting every tom with eBridge triggers (and selling the nearly-new RT30s).

    Music Director/ Guitarist

Since churches are notorious for surrounding drummers in a plexiglass box, Colton, our drummer, was using an Alesis electronic kit to trigger Superior Drummer 3 for the church band. It never felt good to him, and he wanted to go back to an acoustic set. We decided to convert an old Tama kit to electronic instead. Originally, I bought the RTOM Low Volume Mesh heads to replace the acoustic heads (you need SOMETHING just to hold the rims on the drums) and then put the RTOM blackhole mesh heads over the rims with the associated edge mount triggers. It was nice to be able to tension the blackhole heads just the way you want them, and he said the kit felt great, but no matter what we did between tensioning the heads, to setting the threshold, gain, velocity and retrigger settings, we could only make them work well when Colton played with average force. Any ghost notes were constantly lost, and you could forget about playing very, very lightly at all. We got rid of the blackholes, kept the low volume mesh heads and bought these triggers instead. After about an hour of putting everything together just from watching the video we were all set to try them out. We found that most retrigger issues were solved by setting the heads to a higher tension, and we were able to set the threshold and retrigger settings VERY low on the DM10. Now we have zero issues with retriggering, and the resulting velocity of the drums now ranges from about 4 to 127. Essentially it behaves like a natural kit now. Combined with the flexibility of Superior Drummer and some good cymbal and hat triggers, he loves the kit now. You can tell the difference in how he plays on stage now, with little nuances that he couldn't get before coming through perfectly and all the ghost notes showing up. This could not have possibly gone better and I wish we'd done it years ago! As a bonus, the stage looks so much better now with a "real" kit sitting up there. As a side not, our drummer plays metal when he's not doing the church music thing and he said that he's never gotten this level of performance through his ear monitors ever before. Great product!

    Acoustic Conversion

I bought a 4-piece e-bridge conversion package with 12" , 13" , 16" , and 22" sizes. What really drew me to try out these triggers (besides the already excellent reviews) was the bass drum trigger. I really liked the look of the foam pad for the beater. It feels more authentic. Install was painless for each trigger and mounts using the lug hardware. I did have to grab 2 longer screws for one of the toms, not a big deal at all. For the bass drum, because the optimal position is vertical, I drilled 2 new holes into the shells and used some nice stainless steel screws, washers, and lock washers to mount it. I didn't want my bass sitting on top of one of its lugs. The extra screw on top isn't even noticeable but still looks clean. The provided quick connects on the piezo wires go on tightly but can also be taken back off if needed (don't tug on the wire, rock the clip back and forth gently). I had to rewire the bass drum only to the Roland wiring instead of Alesis (which is the module I have). Not sure why, but the Roland wiring is what worked for the bass. I opted for the 1/4" long stem TRS jack to mount into my shells. These stems look excellent and are a must have add-on in my opinion. Which is another thing to point out, what other company offers this much trigger customization? The triggers are both very simple and heavy duty. The elevator platform to make micro-adjustments to the cone height is easy to do and it also slides left to right in the channel. Everything worked quite well after the install. I barely had to make any module adjustments. Just an adjustment to the curve setting of each tom and a few additional adjustments to the bass drum to stop false re-triggering. The positional sensing on these is fantastic. And they don't seem to have much hot spotting which was a surprise. Sure the center is naturally more sensitive, but not overly so to my ears. Buy these triggers, with confidence, from an American company.

    Great triggers

I recently converted my Tama Starclassic Birch bubinga 5 piece drum set using all UFO drum triggers and I couldn’t be happier! I used internal side triggers for my 10” and 12” rack toms, and I used internal center mounted triggers for my 14” snare, 16” floor Tom and my 22x18” bass drum (the foam pillow included really improves the feel.) I upgraded all of the triggers to cones and use a Roland TD-17 module and I only had to do a few tweaks to the trigger settings and everything works perfectly! I only use 3-ply mesh heads on all of my drums (personal preference for feeling more acoustic-like.) I also use the rim protectors from UFO drums and they are great! Great company. Their products are fantastic and I would love to send them pics of my drums if they would like? But I’ve had my drums converted for a few months now before doing a review to see how everything would hold up and I couldn’t be happier. I never have a missed hit or double trigger and I use Axis Longboard A double bass pedals and I use the heel-toe technique for 16th notes and 32nd notes with no problem. So if you wanna save some money and convert your own bass drum (around 100$ for bass drum trigger- Roland charges around 300$ for theirs) and you won’t be disappointed! 5 stars all the way!

    Drummer

Parts shipped within ETA and undamaged in transit. Install was fairly straight-forward with only a few modifications to the parts needed. I installed on Yamaha stage custom rack toms and found that the lug mounting screws used was just 1 mm too big to fit into the UFO shell brackets, so I used a grinder drill-bit to make the slot a bit wider to fit the screw. Also, on my 10 rack tom, the floating mount covers the air-port just enough to put pressure on the 1/4 jack cord when fully set up. I managed to fit it in fine, but I'll have to make custom brackets to make clearance for the cord in the future. I'd advise that you double check your air-ports to make sure there's enough clearance for the cords on your set up. Wiring was pretty simple. I'm using a Roland TD-20X and found that wiring the terminals worked only one of two ways, so I basically just had to wire one way, test, and if it didn't work, flip the connections and test again. that was pretty much it. It took more time fiddling with the software settings getting each signal dialed in than it took to install and wire everything. Overall I'm very happy with the build quality and performance of the electronics.
