I did an extensive research on Mesh Heads from all over the world and learned that there are many good brands out there especially from UK and Germany! U can named them, but an A2E Guru (Derek Frampton) mentioned me this GREAT Brand UFO DRUMS and I decided to give it a try! They are incredible strong like a tank and very well done in every sense! besides that their prices are the best compare to those from Europe and you dont have to deal with those super high shipping prices! Really great. I have 3 different 3 ply heads sitting here from different manufacturers. Comparing and contrasting, this is by far and away the best head. I've been a little concerned about mesh heads in general as I've heard they're very bouncy, and the heads I've tried are fairly uneven on the snare. But this genuinely feels like an acoustic head and fits PERFECTLY on the 14" snare (YMMV I suppose). It's a bit loud, but for my purposes that doesn't matter because my bass and cymbals are definitely going to be louder. It's a bit expensive, but it's worth it to me.
I bought 5 of these for my project kit at Mitch's recommendation. I had also read about the 3 ply heads elsewhere. After trying other mesh heads, this was the most like a "real" head. Others I had tried, like the Remo, were pretty bouncy and even made a 'boing' sound when struck. These 3 ply heads do not bounce like the others and seem to be very durable. Great heads!
I've recently replaced my stock Roland/Remo vdrum heads with these 3 ply heads and I love them. They are less bouncy and feel more realistic than the vdrum heads and I love that there are no logos on them, they play and look great. I love the look and feel of the 3-Ply Mesh Heads. I used to have Hart mesh heads on my whole kit and I prefer the 3-Ply Mesh Heads much more. The White 3-Ply Mesh Heads are much quieter than the Hart and Roland mesh heads, they feel better and have a much cleaner look! I highly recommend these heads!
